Our mission

Making blood sugar understandable

HighBloodSugarSymptoms.co exists because the gap between a worrying symptom and a clear explanation is usually filled with forum posts, contradictory advice and pages that never quite answer the question. We write the page we wanted to find.

How we write

Plain English first

Medical writing has a habit of hiding the answer three paragraphs down. We put it in the first sentence and explain the mechanism afterwards, because most people arrive here with a symptom and a question, not an afternoon to spare.

Ranges, not vibes

Every number on this site is traceable to a mainstream clinical source — the ADA Standards of Care, NHS guidance, WHO diagnostic criteria. Where guidance disagrees or the evidence is genuinely thin, we say so instead of picking whichever version reads better.

Reviewed and dated

Each guide carries a published date and a last-reviewed date. Health content that quietly ages is worse than no content, so anything we cannot keep current gets updated or removed.

Clear about the limits

We will tell you when something needs a doctor, and we say it early. No article here is a substitute for a consultation, and none of them can see your history, medication list or test results.

Where our numbers come from

Diagnostic thresholds, target ranges and treatment guidance on this site are drawn from established clinical bodies rather than individual studies:

Every article lists the specific guidance it draws on in a Sources section at the foot of the page.

The app we build

Free Blood Sugar Monitor

Log readings, spot patterns, share a clean report with your doctor. It is free, it does not require an account, and it is how this site is funded — we would rather recommend our own free tool than fill these pages with advertising.

Corrections and contact

If you spot something inaccurate, out of date or unclear, tell us and we will fix it. Corrections to clinical content are prioritized over everything else on our list. Write to hello@highbloodsugarsymptoms.co.

We cannot give individual medical advice, interpret your test results or tell you whether your symptoms are serious — please take those to a clinician who can see your full picture.
