Privacy & cookies
The short version: this website has no accounts, no forms and no newsletter, so there is nothing for us to collect about you unless you opt in to analytics.
What we collect
Nothing, until you say yes. There is no sign-up, no login, no contact form and no comment section on this site. We never ask for health information, and there is nowhere on these pages to enter any.
If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 (property G-JN9BSTDTGM), which records anonymous usage: which pages are opened, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and which site sent you. IP anonymisation is on. We use it to work out which guides are worth writing more of.
If you decline, the Google script is never loaded at all — it is not loaded in a restricted mode, it simply does not run.
Cookies
Before you answer the banner, this site sets no cookies whatsoever. Your answer itself is kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and never leaves your device.
Accepting lets Google Analytics set its own cookies to tell repeat visits apart. Declining means none are set.
Changing your mind
Clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will ask again on your next visit. In most browsers that is under Settings → Privacy → Cookies and site data, or via the padlock icon in the address bar.
The app is separate
My Diabetes: Live Better is a different product from this website, and what it does with the readings you log is covered by its own privacy policy on its App Store listing. Nothing you log in the app is sent to this website, and nothing you read on this website is sent to the app.
